Description

As of February 17, 2023, the project was approved funding from the Kansas City Council. Construction is expected to begin in the Summer of 2023. Vecino Construction is the general contractor for the Bodhi Kansas City Project located at 3840 Jackson Ave, Kansas City, MO 64128. Bodhi will provide 53 new units of affordable housing plus services for vulnerable populations in Kansas City. Fifteen of the sixty housing units at Bodhi will be set aside as permanent supportive housing. These units will be integrated throughout the development for households who are homeless and experiencing mental health disorders. The Vecino Group is a national housing company dedicated to building a better world, one development, one community at a time. Each project the Vecino Group undertakes must address a broader community need, set an example, give back to the community, and inspire the professionals working on it with a sense of higher purpose. The Vecino Group has completed over 2,000,000 square feet of development, which includes over two dozen impactful housing developments. The Bodhi Kansas City project will consist of seven new wood framed 3-story buildings that will have 53 apartments with centrally located residential amenities, community room, lobby, offices, and approximately 53 parking spaces.
