| Description | The elevated storage tank is a composite elevated water tank with an approximate height of 140 feet, a bowl diameter of 53.75 feet, and a stem diameter of 28 feet. In general, this work consists of: 1. Surface preparation and coating of exterior surfaces of 500,000-gallon elevated storage tank. 2. Surface preparation and coating of interior surfaces of 500,000-gallon elevated storage tank including the interior and exterior of roof access tube. 3. Welding of 6-inch diameter steel patches over areas that are damaged due to blasting, as directed by the Engineer. 4. Removing existing 4-inch gate valve on drain line and replacing with new 4-inch gate valve on drain line. 5. Removing existing 8-inch flap valve on overflow line and replacing with new 8-inch flap valve on overflow line. 6. Miscellaneous items for 500,000-gallon elevated storage tank, including surface preparation and coating of existing butterfly and altitude valves, electrical panels, and ductile iron base piping; replacing of aircraft warning light fixture with led light fixture; replacing of roof vent screens; and disinfection. 7. Removing all stainless-steel piping including 12-inch expansion joint as shown in appendix C and replacing with new American made schedule 304L dual certified stainless steel including 12-inch expansion joint and isolation kits. 8. Sealing joints in concrete driveway, sidewalk, and overflow box, including removal of existing joint sealer. 9. Disinfection, site restoration and site cleanup. | ||
