Description

Project number: 21562 Project Description: The Work consists of construction of a new single story senior center facility. The new building is approximately 6,476 sq. ft. The Work includes, but is not limited to site clearing, earthwork, termite control, hot mix asphalt paving, lawns and grasses, cast-in-place concrete, unit masonry, structural steel, metal fabrications, rough carpentry, wood trusses, interior architectural woodwork, building insulation, spray polyurethane foam insulation and air barrier system, asphalt shingles, siding, soffits, sheet metal flashing, joint sealants, steel doors and frames, flush wood doors, overhead coiling doors, aluminum-framed entrances and storefronts, wood windows, door hardware, glazing, gypsum board assemblies, glass-reinforced fabrications, ceramic tile, acoustical panel ceilings, resilient floor tile with LVT, carpet, painting, toilet compartments, corner guards, signs, post and panel signs, fire protection specialties, toilet and bath accessories, plumbing, electrical and clean-up and removal of construction debris. Sub-contractors not listed above and material suppliers may purchase complete sets of Bid Documents at a cost of Three Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Checks for the purchase of plans shall be made payable to the order of the McLean County Fiscal Court. Electronic copies are also available as detailed above. Bid Guaranty in the form of a Bid Bond (Proposal bonds with Contractor acting as surety are not acceptable), Certified Check, or cash shall accompany each bid. The amount of the bid Guaranty shall be not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid set forth in the Proposal Form. All bid Guaranties shall be made payable to the McLean County Fiscal Court. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days therefrom. The scoring of bids/proposals is subject to Reciprocal preference for Kentucky resident bidders and Preferences for a Qualified Bidder. Please refer to specification sections 00220 and 00450. The Owner reserves the right to determine the ability of any bidder to perform the work, and upon the request of the Owner, any bidder shall furnish such information as may be required to make this determination. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a performance and payment bond and a material and payment bond in an amount equal to at least One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract price. The premium for the bonds shall be included in the proposal amount(s). The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the Owner and to reject any bid where evidence of information submitted by the bidder does not satisfy the Owner that the Bidder is qualified to carry out the details of the Contract Documents.
