Description | Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders. State of Louisiana, the City of Bogalusa and the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and Guidelines for Historic Preservation, applicable laws and regulations shall govern submittal, opening, and award of bids. Project Identification: Preservation and Restoration of the Robert "Bob" Hicks House & 1906 Mill House through a Preservation & Restoration Project funded through a 2018 African American Civil Rights Grant from the National Park Services (NPS), Department of the Interior in collaboration with the Louisiana Division of Historic Preservation Project includes restoration of two buildings. The Robert "Bob' Hicks house includes the restoration of a 1950's three bedroom residence including porch and carport recon- struction, window/door restoration, restoration of interior finishes, siding repair, handicap ramp addition, drive way, new parking area/sidewalks, new restroom outbuilding and new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The 1906 Mill House restoration includes restoration of front and rear porches, window restoration, siding repair, new roof, restoration of interior finishes, handicap ramp addition, and new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Grant Recipient will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date given below. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be with- drawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Small, women-owned, and minority-owned business enterprises are encouraged to apply. Grant Recipient reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. Bidders should be experienced with restoration work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Grant Recipient and NPS will be required of the successful bidder. |
