Arlington, TX 76001 Location County: Tarrant Start Date: 2/2/2023 Completion Date: 4/23/2024 Estimated Cost: $720,000 Type of Work: Renovation/Alteration Type of Funds: This project involves public funds, public land, or is a Federally funded roadway project. Scope of Work: Constructing new sidewalk and curb ramps with the new Turner Warnell Road construction. The project limits extend along Turnell Warnell Road from Cooper Street to Matlock Road. Square Footage: 83,000 ft 2 ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ This project primarily consists of widening Turner Warnell Road (Cooper Street to Matlock Road), a major arterial, from a 2-lane county-type asphalt road to a 4-lane divided concrete roadway. Improvements for this project include storm drainage, sidewalks, pavement markings, street signs, streetlights, sanitary sewer connections, communication conduit, conduit for future use, signals at Cooper Street and Walnut Creek Drive intersections, and median landscaping and irrigation. The Engineer's estimate for this project is $23,000,000.00. All bidders and subcontractors on this project must be pre-qualified in the appropriate work category as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders of the contract documents. A cashier's check or an acceptable Bidder's Bond payable to the City of Arlington, Texas, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the largest possible total for the bid submitted, must accompany the bid. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, will be required. The successful bidder shall also furnish to the City a Maintenance Bond covering defects of material and workmanship for two calendar years following the City's approval and acceptance of the construction. Not less than the prevailing wage rates adopted by the City of Arlington, Texas, and as set forth in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. The City reserves the right to request bidders to provide Minority/Women Business Enterprises (MWBE) information. This is for information only and no preference shall be given, nor will this information affect the results of the contract award. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating prices in the Proposal, the City reserves the right to accept the most advantageous construction thereof to the City or to reject the proposal. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any or all informalities. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of ninety (90) days from the date bids are opened.
