Description

The work includes but is not limited to all labor, materials, tools, oversight and permits required to make improvements to the ADA walkway, and all associated sitework and stormwater improvements Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, in accordance with the project specifications in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount. A Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. Davis Bacon wage rates shall apply. Immediately following the due date and time, all bids received through PennBid will be opened online at the Engineer's Office and referred to Jackson Township for final award. An abstract of the bids received will be available to bidders on portal following the date and time that bids are due as indicated above CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 4/25/2022 12:00 PM Questions may be submitted through portal "Clarifications (From Vendors)" tab on or before noon on Monday, April 25th. Responses will be provided via PennBid to all registered parties. Jackson Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or portions or to waive any informalities in bidding and to withhold award for a period of sixty days. 1. Base Bid a. Site work associated with the installation of the proposed restrooms. b. Furnish and installation of the water line to 5' within the building footprint. c. Furnish and installation of the sanitary line to 5' within the building footprint including the holding tank and manhole. d. Furnish and installation of the underground electric including conduit, wire, service, meter, etc. to complete the new service system and exterior lighting. Building Contractor will be responsible for all building electric from the new panel. e. Decorative lighting including all conduit, wiring, etc. f. Relocated 5' asphalt walk as shown. g. Select concrete sidewalk. h. Seeded lawn for all earth disturbance. i. All erosion and sedimentation controls excluding those identified under the alternates. Alternates 1. Alternate 1 - Playground Sitework a. 5' monolithic curb and sidewalk for playground surfacing. b. Playground underdrains and storm drainage. c. Split rail fencing. d. Erosion and sedimentation controls CFS-3. 2. Alternate 2 - Walkway a. Asphalt resurfacing at 5' walkway. b. Relocated 5' asphalt walkway. c. Brick pavers. d. Pavement markings 3.
