Description | All Bids will be accepted prior to the closing specified time. Proposals must be on official proposal form which can be obtained from the City Clerk, 400 Poplar Avenue, Linwood, New Jersey 08221 and accompanied by a properly executed non collusion affidavit. Each proposal must state the name and address of person, firm or corporation interested in the same as a principal. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the City Clerk, City of Linwood, identified as "Bid-Curb-Side-Collection of Solid Waste". The City Council, Engineer, and its Solicitor will be the sole discretionary body for consideration of rejection of the proposals. City Council shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS: Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or any authorized postponement thereof. Bids received after time and date designated shall not be considered. No bidder may withdraw a Bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. PRICES: Proposal shall be submitted on the appropriate form, properly filled out and duly executed. The Bidder shall state the total lump sum bid in the proposal as required to fulfill the intent of these specifications. CONTRACT: The successful bidder shall, within ten (10) days after official acceptance of the Bid by the Mayor and Council of the City of Linwood, execute a contract and a performance bond issued by a Surety and deliver same to the City Clerk. Failure to do so will be considered as an abandonment of the contract. The Mayor and Council of the City of Linwood reserve the right to reject any or all bids which does not appear to be in their best interests. They also reserve the right to consider any bid invalid that does not conform strictly with the specifications. If a nonconforming bid is not discovered at the time of the bid opening, the Mayor and Council of the City of Linwood reserve the right to reject said proposal at any time prior to execution of the contract(s). Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-3 1 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. |
