Description | The Town of Jaffrey, Cheshire County, New Hampshire is requesting bid proposals for the following project: Nutting Road over Contoocook River Bridge Rehabilitation Project Nutting Road over Contoocook River is located in the Town of Jaffrey, New Hampshire. The project consists of a bridge rehabilitation with a cast-in-place concrete deck replacement and the replacement of the southwest, upstream wingwall with a cast-in-place wingwall with a mortar rubble masonry facing. There will be masonry restorations (chinking) of the existing stone arch bridge as well. The project also includes the reconstruction and realignment of approximately 275 feet of roadway and incidental work. The Town will award the Contract to only one responsible Bidder, based on the lowest responsive sum of the bid prices. Contractors must have a current registration of good standing with the Office of The Secretary of State to do business in New Hampshire and must be on the NHDOT's list of prequalified contractors in the bridge classification. All bidders must provide their contact information to QCC to be registered to receive issued Addenda, if any. Quantum Construction Consultants, LLC is the Engineer and Issuing Office for this Project. All communications shall be directed to this office. Bidders' inquiries to meaning or intent of the Bidding Document shall be submitted in writing at least five (5) days before bid date. Bidders must satisfy themselves of the accuracy of the estimated quantities in the Bid Schedule by examination of the site and a review of the drawings and specifications, including Addenda, if any. After Bids have been submitted, the Bidder shall not assert that there was a misunderstanding concerning the quantities of Work or the nature of the Work to be done. All Bids must be made on the required Bid Form. All blank spaces for Bid prices must be filled in, in ink or typewritten, and the Bid Form must be fully completed and executed when submitted. Only one copy of the Bid Form is required. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount. Performance and Payment Bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Bid Price will be required upon award of Contract. The Town of Jaffrey reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or any part thereof, to waive all formalities or informalities and to reject the Bid of any Bidder whom it finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to not be responsible. Any Bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof to permit public funding of the project. Should there be reasons why the contract cannot be awarded within the specified period; the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the Owner and the Bidder. |
