Industrial Education Building CNC Lab Renovations

A portion of the first level floor is to be abated for asbestos, the floor structure stabilized and brought up to code, and the non-original interior partitions and ACT ceiling (not original) to be demolished. 2 classrooms, 2 machining/ teaching labs, and 2 offices with egress corridor are to be constructed in the same footprint. The ceiling will be open to the original structure above and new electrical, HVAC, sprinklers are to be installed in a manner to not impede the sightlines of the existing windows. The existing wood windows are to be restored and missing windows replaced to match existing. A new exterior door and transom are to be installed to match the period of the building. Interior finished are to meet MSU standards, while maintaining more appropriate wood trim and wood-veneer door details.
