Description

The City of Gastonia is soliciting Qualification Statements from interested firms to provide professional services related to preparing a preliminary engineering report for the rehabilitation and/or replacement of the existing Long Creek Sewer Outfall. The existing outfall consists of approximately 6 miles of 30" Reinforced Concrete Pipe beginning at the Long Creek WWTP. Portions of the existing outfall are experiencing issues with existing joint infiltration and hydrogen sulfide gas damage. Rehabilitation of existing sewer line shall include, but are not limited to, CIPP, Slip Lining, and Spray grouting/ lining. Due to decreased flow amounts historically, a downsizing of the existing outfall is a possible alternative for evaluation. The selected firm shall provide a construction estimate for each rehabilitation and replacement option. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jason Wallace at jasonw@cityofgastonia.com or at (704) 854- 6696. Last Day for Questions October 4, 2019. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
