Description | The project includes the rehabilitation of existing Taxiway 'A' (approx. 250' x 30'). The work includes a 2" mill of existing taxiway pavement and placement of 2" of P-401, installation of new taxiway edge lights, transformers, cable, and marking. The project also addresses a partial reconstruction of roughly half of the existing apron, which includes the removal of existing pavement (3"-4"), 6" of P-209 and placement of 6" of P-209, 3" of P-401. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Worksheet. All technical questions regarding this project should be directed by email to Tim Audet at taudet@hoyletanner.com. This will be the only time for prospective Bidders or subcontractors to view the site. Bidders must advise Tim Audet, 603-391-9336 if they are to attend. All interested bidders are requested to attend in order to prepare acceptable bid submissions. Prospective bidders are asked to provide information on whether their company is listed as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) in the state where the work will be performed in order to comply with FAA regulations. Prospective bidders will be asked to provide this information at time of plan purchase. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the bidding or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with their bid, security in the amount of 5% of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the General Provisions. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. The Contractor on this work will be required to comply with the equal employment opportunity requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration and the Newton Field Airport DBE Program. The DBE goal for this project is 1.7% percent.
