Restoration of the Roof at the Centre County Courthouse

The Centre County Board of Commissioners on behalf of the Department of Facilities Management invites qualified contractors to submit bids for the restoration of the roof at the Centre County Courthouse. To facilitate the clarification requirements, Bidders are required to submit questions in writing by 4:00 PM on March 2, 2023 via PennBid. Any interpretation made to prospective Bidders will be expressed in the form of an addendum which, if issued, will be conveyed in writing and made available online. All bids shall be irrevocable for one (1) month after the bid opening date. Bidders understand that the County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any or all irregularities or technicalities, and the right to award the bid in the best interest of the County. The County of Centre is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer that selects Contractors without consideration of race, religion, color, ethnic background, sex, age or handicapped status. Minority-owned businesses are encouraged to submit Bids. The successful Bidder will be expected to enter into a Contract with the County, incorporating the IFB terms and the winning Bidder response, as well as other terms and conditions acceptable to the County. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the form of certified check, bank cashier's check, or bond provided by a surety company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount, made payable to Centre County Government. The Work of the Project consists of the restoration of the existing Centre County Courthouse roof and bidders will need to complete their own measurements. The Successful Bidder shall provide a performance and payment bond for the full dollar amount within ten (10) business days from the day of the request by the County, or on the date a contract is entered into with the County, whichever shall first occur. Notice is hereby given that this project is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act of October 27, 1955, P.L. 744 and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act No. 442 of August 14, 1961, as amended on August 9, 1963.
