ADA Accessible Elevator Addition - GPC

In general the work consists of constructing a new (3) stop elevator addition adjacent to the existing stairway area of Pie Hall on the School for the Deaf campus. The new elevator will provide an internal accessible path for wheelchairs between the primary school and other campus buildings. Currently, wheelchair students must traverse an outdoor sidewalk to access campus buildings including food services and the health center. A new stairway addition, adjacent to the new elevator shaft and meeting current building code guidelines, will be constructed to connect the upper and lower levels of Pie Hall with the intermediate ground level. Site, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing are also part of the project scope
