Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate The scope of the work includes: 1.Shoring and bracing the building to support the proposed work 2.Excavation of existing crawl spaces to provide full basement 3.New footings, foundations, structural columns and beams at the first floor framing 4.Removal, then reinstallation of fire protection piping, plumbing piping, electrical distribution and HVAC ductwork and piping to allow the installation of first floor structural elements. 5.New elevator pit for a future elevator installation. 6.Replacement of basement floor slab It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded within 30 days of receipt of bids and Work must be complete by April 1, 2023 Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Labor and Industries under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27G, as amended, apply to this project. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates) and made payable to the Town of Harwich A performance bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the total amount of the bid with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be required for the faithful performance of the contract as well as a labor and materials bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the total bid amount.
