CEI Services for the Carpenter Fire Station Road Realignment

Construction engineering and inspection (CEI) services. The services requested may include, but not limited to, construction engineering, construction inspections, construction materials testing, sampling, construction reporting, documentation and correspondence, pay application reviews and recommendations, contract quantity verifications, materials received, contract administration, change order reviews and recommendations, construction quality assurance. The project is the realignment of Carpenter Fire Station Road and associated structure/ bridge, retaining walls, railroad track work and mainline roadway and associated realignment and abandonment of portions of adjacent secondary NCDOT maintained roadways as well as the remaining infrastructure improvement work consisting of: 1. Structures (railroad bridge activities) 2. Roadway 3. Traffic Signals 4. Work Zone Traffic Management 5. Pavement Markings 6. Signage 7. Stormwater & Erosion Control 8. Permit Compliance 9. Railroad structure and railroad track construction administration. 10. Restoration of Permanent and Temporary Construction Easement Areas 11. Pavement Evaluations, Pavement Designs and Subgrade Recommendations 12. Surveying to identify errors in curb and/or roadway elevations or alignments 13. Surveying and/or design to address roadway curvature to meet horizontal and vertical constraints at the CSXT Railroad Bridge The project also involves addressing the CEI services necessary to correct or address existing or newly constructed portions of the remaining roadways, secondary adjacent roadways, railroad, and Phillips Pond areas consisting of Slope Repairs and Remediation on -L- Mainline Roadway and -M1- Railroad Track Alignment.
