Description

Project includes sidewalk construction along Union Lake Road from N. Meadow Drive to Shook Road. Any clearing and grubbing and will be incidental to the Project. Rocks or boulders used as landscape features may need to be relocated as part of the Work. This work will be incidental to the Project. In areas where trees are in close proximity to the new sidewalk, removal of roots may be required to construct the sidewalk. Removal of roots will be incidental to the construction of the sidewalk. There are several areas designated on the plans where “Remove and Replace Landscaping” is noted. The removal and replacement of landscaping on these several areas will be paid for as 1 Lump Sum for the entire Project. The CONTRACTOR shall submit to the ENGINEER for review and approval a plan for restoration of each of the landscape areas to blend in with the current landscape in the area to create essentially the same aesthetics but allowing for the new sidewalk construction. Landscaping includes any decorative features, landscape stone, edging, rocks, plant material of any type, irrigation system, lighting features, mulch, and any other related items. The item for Station Grading shall include all Work required to cut, fill, grade, earth balance, and compact the existing subgrade to the lines and grades as shown on the plans and as necessary to construct the sidewalk. This work shall also include topsoil stripping, salvaging, and placing topsoil for use on the Project.
