Description

**As of September 30, 2022, project was awarded tO LANDBERG CONSTRUCTION, LLC but awarded amount is not available.** The scope of Work contemplated for the abovenamed Project includes Base Bid No. 1 for drainage improvements including replacing 7 inlets, 120 LF of 14"x23" ERCP, 3,600 LF of underdrain, and pavement restoration; Base Bid No. 2 for striping including 9,500 LF of 4" stripes, 500 LF of 8" stripes, 500 LF of 24" traffic marking lines, and 30 RPMs; as well as all other Work of any type or description necessary for completion of the Project, whether or not specifically described in these Contract Documents. After drainage improvements are constructed, 0.45 miles of road will be resurfaced by the County's co-op paving contractor. Striping will be performed after paving is complete. Base Bid No. 1 drainage improvements and pavement restoration shall be completed within thirty (30) Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed. Base Bid No. 2 for striping shall be completed within fifteen (15) Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed after resurfacing by others is complete. The provided Bid Packet must be completed in the manner designated in the Contract Documents, must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the Project on the outside and must be addressed to West Deptford Township Purchasing Agent. Also, Bid Packets must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company holding a Certificate of Authorization to do business in the State of New Jersey and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of "West Deptford Township" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price amount, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful Bidder is hereby notified that a Performance and Payment Bonds for the full amount of this Project is required. West Deptford Township considers projects over $100,000 to be significant projects. Any workers employed on a significant project shall be covered by a health and hospital insurance plan issued by an insurer licensed by the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, a defined benefit pension plan, and an apprentice training program pursuant to the standards established under the Department of Labor and Industry Act of 1948 (N.J.S.A. 34:1A-34 et seq.) A detailed statement describing the health insurance and pension plans and apprenticeship programs as required herein shall be completed and submitted as a material requirement of the bid in order for the bid to be accepted. The award of the Contract for this Project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by Township of West Deptford in a lawful manner. Please be advised that this Project is being funded through the New Jersey Department of Transportation Local Freight Impact Fund Program. By virtue of Executive Order #34 (1976), vendors currently suspended, debarred or disqualified are excluded from participating on this Project. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the applicable statutory requirements of the Contract Documents and Plans which include all of the following: (i) N.J.A.C. 17:27; (ii) N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq.; (iii) Business Registrations (N.J.S.A. 52:32-44); (iv) Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25, et seq.); (v) Public Work Contractor Registration (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48); and (vi) Affirmative Action Requirements (N.J.S.A. 10:5-1, et seq.); and any other legal requirements applicable to this Project. West Deptford Township intends to award this Project to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder in accordance with applicable law. West Deptford Township reserves the right to reject any and all Bid Packets to the extent permitted by law. An award will be made, or Bid Packets will be rejected within sixty (60) Calendar Days after the opening of the Bid Packets, during which time the Bid Packets shall be irrevocable and unavailable to withdraw by Bidders, unless otherwise extended in the Contract Documents.
