Description | Bids will be in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by University of Utah U Facilities and HEALTH & SAFETY SERVICES INC, hereinafter referred to as "A/E" as defined in the General Conditions. Scope of Work: West Village Student Housing, Aspen Court 300 and 600 (Buildings 300A-D and 600 A-D) Pre-demolition Asbestos and Hazardous Materials Abatement. Effective September 10, 2018, the University has retired the previous state mandated Surety Bond Forms and is now requiring the use of the AIA Bid Bond Form A310-2010 and Performance and Payment Bond Form A312-2010. Questions raised at the meeting will be noted and answers will be included in an addendum issued prior to the bid opening. A list of Contractors who attended the meeting will be included in the addendum. Please note that only persons directly employed by the represented Contractor may sign for that Contractor; and, only the bids supplied by Contractors who are listed in the addendum will be opened. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to The University of Utah, must be procured and submitted to the University of Utah within 24 hours after the bid due time. The bid bond may be scanned and submitted with the online at the time of the bid. Construction Constraints: The Abatement Contractor must have, as of the time of the bid, a current DAQ qualification. Must have at least 10 projects valued at 100K each or more over the past 3 years, or must have a cumulative amount of $1.5M or greater over the past 3 years. Must place fence around the entire site prior to work beginning. A temporary road for access to the site from Sunnyside Ave must be built. Gain the correct permits from SLC for the access road. The University of Utah reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any formality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the University |
