Description | The purpose of this Agreement is to set forth the terms and conditions under which Contractor is to provide trash services. Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) all labor, trash and recycle bins, equipment, and incidentals, and to pay all associated costs, fees, and taxes, necessary to provide trash and recycling collection, hauling, and disposal services as described herein. A Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) goal is not required, but DVBE participation is encouraged, and a DVBE incentive may apply to this IFB. The services shall be performed at the following locations: A. Buttonwillow Safety Roadside Rest Area (SRRA) located on both Northbound and Southbound sides of Interstate 5 at post mile (PM) 54.1 in Kern County. B. Taft Maintenance Station, 274 50 Highway 33, Taft, CA 93268 in Kern County This Agreement requires Prevailing Wages if the total bid amount exceeds $15,000. If the total bid amount is under $15,000, then Prevailing Wage language will be removed prior to award. Refer to Attachment 8 Proposed Form of Agreement, for requirement details. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by Caltrans. Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to approval of the Agreement and before receipt of notice to proceed by Caltrans Contract Manager. This Agreement shall expire on August 31, 2024 (estimate). Except in emergencies, the services shall be provided during normal working hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. |
