Consolidated Water District Water System Interconnections

Perform an interconnection between the Town of Wallkill Water System and the City of Middletown Water System near the municipal boundary on East Main Street between Gardner Avenue and Anthony Street. Perform an interconnection between the Town of Wallkill Water System and the City of Middletown Water System near the municipal boundary on Cottage Street Extension at the Town’s Booster Pump Station in the vicinity of Vincent Drive. Perform an interconnection between the Town of Wallkill Water System and the Village of Goshen Water System on Goshen Turnpike in the vicinity of the Town of Wallkill Crystal Run Water Treatment Facility near the recently completed Scotchtown Avenue Bridge. Coordinate with the municipal water department designee(s) to schedule construction activities to ensure that water flow is not interrupted. All construction work activities within existing travelled roads will be coordinated with county and municipal street department designee(s) to maintain adequate flow of traffic through the work zone. The Contractor shall make all piping and other upgrade changes to provide a complete and workable installation. General scope of work involves the following: Furnish and install 12" diameter ductile iron water main and related appurtenances. Furnish and install precast concrete water meter vault system. Furnish and install 12" magnetic flow meters. Furnish and install pressure reducing valves. Furnish and install meter vault electrical system. Furnish and installation of temporary and permanent utility trench repairs within existing Town, City, and County roadways. Furnish and install utility trench repairs in Town and Country shoulders and right-of-ways. Provide typical and proper maintenance and protection of traffic appropriate for the level of work. Provide protection and temporary support as needed to maintain existing utility operation throughout the duration of construction. Perform pipe cleaning, sanitization, and testing necessary to place water main into service. Make all necessary piping connections for a workable installation. Obtain permit for work on a County Road/County ROW.
