Description | Bid Package A (Lalumier) and Bid Package B (E Morris) were awarded to Millennium Construction LLC in the amounts of $1,896,468 and $2,367,396. Bid Package C (Huffman) was not awarded. BASE BID consists of HVAC replacement, including but not limited to unit vents, boilers, pumps and roof-top units, throughout E. Morris, Lalumier, and Huffman Elementary Schools. In addition to HVAC work, the project includes new hydronic piping, limited ceiling and light fixture replacement, limited structural reinforcement work, limited vinyl floor tile work, roofing work, and masonry work. ALTERNATE BID #1: The scope of work includes a direct digital control system as indicated in Specification Section 23 09 23. DDC system shall monitor and control boilers, pumps, self-contained unit ventilators, fan coils, heat pumps and rooftop units. Contractor will be responsible for ordering equipment and all materials immediately after contract execution and shop drawing approvals, regardless of the first day available for construction. Contractor will be responsible for storing and insuring equipment and materials until the first day available for construction (approximately May 29, 2023). See Section 01 20 00 for additional information. The successful bidder shall enter into the Project Labour Agreement (Section 00 52 15 of the Contract Documents) with the South-western Illinois Building Trades Council (SIBTC) and their affiliated local craft unions, for all work as included within these drawings and specifications as a condition of being awarded a contract resulting from this solicitation. Any levels of Subcontractors shall enter into the same Project Labour Agreement. The documents are being provided for reference purposes only. Bidders are encouraged to obtain a signed and sealed hard copy set of the bidding documents. At a minimum, bidders must obtain clean copies of bid forms from the offices of Hurst-Rosche, Inc. by paying a non-refundable amount of $10.00 to submit a bid for this project. The Owner requires that construction cannot start until approximately May 29, 2023, and the project is to be substantially complete by July 28, 2023. Should the Contractor fail to complete the Work within such time, contractor agrees to compensate and will apply to the Owner for each and every day of such delay in completion of the Work beyond the Contract Time the sum of Five Hundred ($500.00) per day for Work not completed by the substantial completion date as liquidated damages. Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favourable to the Owner.
