Description | The owner has selected a Design Builder. The New York Power Authority ("NYPA") is seeking expressions of interest from firms to provide Design, Construction, and Commissioning of a new New York State Canal Corporation ("NYSCC") Maintenance facility. NYPA will be issuing a Request for Proposal for Design, Construction, and Commissioning of a new NYSCC Maintenance facility in the near future. Upon selection, the Firm will enter into an agreement with NYPA to provide the design and construction of the new facility. Located on Canal-owned land in Frankfort, NY, the facility will be an approximate 27,000 square foot pre-engineered maintenance building and 8,000 sf storage building (located on an approximate 5-acre site) to primarily serve the various NYSCC trades serving the Mohawk and Central NY Regions. The maintenance building will consist of various programmatic spaces including, but not limited to, office areas, maintenance areas, welding area, storage space and utility areas with a bridge crane to serve several of the spaces. The project will also include a parking lot with 110 parking spaces, associated drive aisles, fuel island with above ground storage tanks, and (2) 7,500 sf bio retention basins. Sitework also consists of security fencing, water supply connection to the village water main, sanitary sewer connection to the existing village sewer, electrical service connection to existing overhead electric lines, gas service extension, an extension of Williams Street to the site, and an access road from Industrial Drive to Williams Street. |
