Description

New Headquarters High Point Special Utility District (HPSUD) is issuing a two-step request for qualifications and request for proposals (RFQ/RFP) for the design and construction of a new headquarters building in Kaufman County using the design-build method described in Sections 2269.301-2269.311, Texas Government Code. The project will be a one story structure to serve as HPSUD's headquarters situated on a 5.01 acre tract of land located at 16983 Valley View Road, Forney, Texas. The building will be approximately 4,864 sq. ft. and will include the following: covered drive-through window, electric/ mechanical closet, public lobby with restroom, boardroom for holding public meetings, breakroom, two employee restrooms, storm closet, customer service area, employee offices, file room, work room, customer meeting room, and stairs to the attic storage. HPSUD estimates the attic storage room will be 500 sq. ft. The project also includes a customer parking area, partially covered employee parking area, outdoor generator, and septic system. HPSUD will rank design-build firms based on their qualifications and then select the qualified design-build firm that submits the proposal offering the best value on the basis of the selection criteria stated in the RFQ/RFP packet.
