Description

Maintenance Dredging of Flushing Bay and Creek, NY Federal Navigation Project: perform maintenance dredging of Flushing Bay and Creek, New York, Federal Navigation Project to a depth of -15 feet Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) plus 2 feet of allowable overdepth. The proposed maintenance dredging would remove approximately 150,000 cubic yards (CY) of material from the Federal Channel. The dredged material would be dredged and subsequently placed at a suitable, state-permitted upland site(s). Results of grain size analyses performed on samples taken from the shoals in 2020 indicate that the proposed dredge material is mostly silt and clay.
