Description | 1. ROOFING: Removal of existing roof material (asphalt architectural shingles) to expose roof deck; installation of 1/2 " CDX plywood over old roof boards (approximately 96 sheets), installation of new aluminum drip edge, installation of ice & water barrier on eaves and edges, installation of 30lb roofing underlayment, installation of new 40-year lifetime asphalt shingles. 2. FLASHING: Remove and Replace old lead flashing and install new lead Chimney flashing at every course. 3. RUBBER ROOF DECK: Remove rubber membrane on 2ndfloor exterior deck, install 1/2 "recovery board insulation (pitched to a minimum 2% slope), install new aluminum drip edge, install 60 mil black membrane roofing. 4. DORMER SIDING: Remove and Replace siding on three dormers, including step flashing. The location of the work is the Edgartown Council on Aging Building, also known as "The Anchors", and is located at 10 Daggett Street, Edgartown, MA 02539. The building is approximately 40 ft. long x 32 ft. wide, hip-roofed, two story, wood-framed structure with a single chimney, four dormer windows, and a one-story 22 ft. x 19 ft. enclosed porch affixed to the southeastern side of the building. The enclosed porch has a flat, rubber deck roof. Photographs of the building's existing roof are included as EXHIBIT 2. Photographs of the building's existing rubber deck are included as EXHIBIT 3. Bidders must submit a five percent (5%) bid deposit with their bid. The work will commence in October 2023. Division of Occupational Safety has determined the Prevailing Wage Rates for this work and they are included as part of the IFB. The Town of Edgartown reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in its best interest.
