PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND The purpose of this Invitation for Bids is to seek competitive sealed bids from qualified vendors to remove and replace twenty-eight (28) windows at the Hertford County Multipurpose Juvenal Home located in Winston NC. Vendor pricing will include all materials, labor, clean up, and haul away. The intent of this solicitation is to award an Agency Contract. Windows to feature: Omega 12 plus low E and argon gas, double paned, double strength glass, white, insulated frames and full screens Replace or cover the exterior trim around windows using G8 premium aluminum or functional equivalent in white Install plastic window stops along track of windows. Placement will be determined by facility staff Lifetime warranty on all glass, parts, and labor, including accidental breakage Vendor to provide interior and exterior touch ups if required Job site to be kept clean, safe, and free of debris during process and inspected by unit personnel upon completion of work. Work to be phased to keep pedestrian travel into work areas to a minimum. Work must begin within 30 days after Purchase Order has been issued unless a later date is submitted in writing and approved by DPS. Work to be completed to a schedule conducive to minimum disruption to youth and staff in the building. Work will be expected to be completed within 3 consecutive days. Weekends may be included. All equipment to be supplied by Vendor. Any materials damaged during shipping or installation to be replaced within 30 days. |
