Description

LINCOLN SCHOOL SCHOOLYARD IMPROVEMENTS Located on a portion of Block 1885, Lot 32 at 87 Richelieu Terrace, Newark, NJ Sealed bids for the above named Contract, which comprises schoolyard construction within the City of Newark, Essex County, New Jersey for TPL. Owner accepts no responsibility for any bids prior to their presentation at the date and hour indicated for the formal bid opening. Bidders may not withdraw their respective bids for a period of sixty (60 days) days after bid opening unless otherwise permitted by statute. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, facilities, and services necessary to complete the work as shown on the Drawings and as described in the Specifications in accordance with Contract Documents. Inquiries regarding the Bid Specifications and Contract Documents shall be sent by email to Heidi Cohen of TPL at Heidi.Cohen@tpl.org. No oral response to any question by any Owner employee or agent shall be binding on Owner. Substantial Completion of the work is required within 175 calendar days of a Notice to Proceed. Final Completion of the work is required within 189 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. The Owner will evaluate bids and any award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-1 et seq. ("Local Public Contract Law or LPCL) and the rules and regulations adopted pursuant thereto, N.J.A.C. 5:34-1 et seq. Failure to comply with Instructions to Bidders and to complete and submit all required forms may be cause for disqualification and rejection of the bid. Bidders shall submit a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all persons and entities that own ten percent or more of its stock or interest of any type at all levels of ownership. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) (not to exceed $20,000) of the total bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds with Consent of Surety.
