Description | Jones Academy is seeking the services of contractors for a fuel tank relocation and replacement project on the school campus in Hartshorne, OK. Jones Academy will be accepting proposals from qualified contractors and intends to award the project utilizing a selection matrix that weighs the responses by the qualified firms to the various components of the Request for Proposal (RFP). Please see exhibit A for partial site plan and exhibit B for campus area map. All provisions of the RFP will become part of the contract along with the selected Engineer written response to it.Contractors shall provide all elements of project, for turn key operation and installation for the fuel tank relocation and replacement project. Project should consist of removing existing fuel tanks and installing new 1000 gallon dual fuel tank (500 diesel / 500 gasoline) with fuel metering control system, spill containment, concrete slab with foundation footing and 24" tall secondary spill containment, electric pumps and service drive for access to pumps. Electrical can be obtained from building 579, panel information is available on request. Provide dual fuel tank with 1000 gallon containment dike (primary containment). Primary containment shall be set inside concrete structure as secondary containment unit. Pump units for diesel and gasoline fuels should be no less than 20 GPM with a turn key pump with 18 ft hoses and filters. New service drive is estimated to cover approximately 4,000 sf at 12' widths and 15' turn radius. Service drive shall be designed to support fueling truck with up to 500 gallons of fuel at one time. Fire suppression extinguishers to be mounted at each pump location, and protective bollards will be placed at drive to protect fuel distribution. Proposal shall be complete for installation and turn key operation for Jones Academy. Proposal shall also include proper disposal of fuel tanks currently in use. Proposal shall be detailed, with line items clearly identified. This campus contains an active 1st-12th dormitory. As such, background checks for all workers are mandatory.Workers may only be on campus between the hours of 8:00AM - 3:30PM. Be advised that this project requires Davis Bacon Wages for the county. Pay applications will need to include weekly payroll details. |
