Contract for Maintenance-Service of Portable Fire Extinguishers and Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression System

Hamilton County Department of Education, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, requests proposals to provide comprehensive inspection, maintenance and service of the portable fire extinguishers and kitchen hood fire suppression systems for all Hamilton County Department of Education buildings. This information package has been prepared to assist you in preparing your response to the Bid issued by the Hamilton County Department of Education and the Safety/Compliance Office. The fire protection systems include: Approx. 2150 portable extinguishers in 84 sites (some with multiple buildings) most of which are ABC type, however some are C02, BC, and K class within the system. There are 75 kitchen hood fire suppression systems, all of which are wet systems that comply with UL 300 requirements. The kitchen hood fire suppression systems are of various manufacturers, ages, and condition. All kitchen hood suppression systems are compliant at this time. Also, there are approx. 12 residential stove type suppression systems located in classrooms.
