Description | Replacement of Culverts in three locations: 34 LF of 12' x 4' Precast Concrete Box Culvert 42 LF 43" x 68" RCP Conduit 42 LF 54" RCP Conduit Concrete Masonry Headwalls PLEASE NOTE: An additional $15.00 (Fifteen dollars) per set will be charged for shipping and handling costs. Checks should be made payable to Howells and Baird, Inc. All proposals shall be sealed and marked for the Fairfield Township 2023 Culvert Replacement and addressed to Fairfield Township Trustees and delivered or received by mail prior to the opening date and time. Mailed bids shall be sent to 3062 Fairfield School Road Columbiana, OH 44408. The bidders may be required to give references and such other detailed information as will enable the owner to judge responsibility, experience, skill, and financial standing. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than 90 days after Authorization to Proceed. Bidders must be pre-qualified with the Ohio Department of Transportation, Office of Contracts, for the nature of work involved. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required. Bidders must comply with the Prevailing Wage Rates on Public Improvements in Columbiana County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, 614-644-2239. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids or to increase or omit any item(s), waive any informalities or irregularities, and to award to the lowest and best responsible bidder. |
