Description | Mescalero Apache Housing Department (MATHD) is requesting proposals from qualified Engineering firms, for development of a 40-50 unit housing subdivision. This preliminary design will include: 1. Preparation of a preliminary site plan based on a metes and bounds drawing prepared by a surveyor and provided to MATHD; 2. Preparation of preliminary outline specifications sufficient for development of cost estimates; 3. Preparation of floor plans for single-family residences/ lots; and 4. Preparation of elevation for foundations and grade for each individual unit. All designs shall be in compliance with the Building and Construction Codes as codified in Title 14 of the New Mexico Administrative Code as may be amended from time to time, or the International Building Codes, whichever is more stringent. The project will be a mixed funded project, and the work to be performed is subject to the requirements of the funding sources, the MATHD Procurement Policy, and all other applicable laws, rules, and regulations. At a minimum, the selected Engineer must comply with all applicable regulations promulgated by the Department of Housing and Urban Development's Office of Native American Programs. The successful bidder will be required to execute a modified American Institute of Architects (AIA) or Association of General Contractors (AGC) standard form agreement between owner and engineer. Final approval of an agreement with the successful bidder will be subject to negotiation of fair and reasonable compensation based either on time and charges for services provided. |
