Nicosia Senior High-Rise Building Demolition

Project Number: 23.1943.4.1 Demolition of the John B. Nicosia Sr High Rise Building 4720 Railroad Ave, East Chicago, Indiana 46312 All work for the complete Demolition Project may be under one or more contracts with the Owner based on bids received. The Consulting Engineer will manage the work. All work shall be in full accordance with the Bidding Documents which are on file with the Owner and may be examined by prospective bidders at the following locations: Office of the Consulting Engineer Amereco Engineering 54 Michigan Street Valparaiso, IN 46383 Office of the Owner East Chicago Housing Authority 4444 Railroad Ave East Chicago, IN 46312 Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidders will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds for one hundred percent (100%) of their Contract amount prior to execution of Contracts. Contractors submitting bids for the performance of any Work as specified in this project should make such Bids to East Chicago Housing Authority. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid (or combination of Bids) and to waive any irregularities in bidding. All Bids may be held for a period not to exceed 60 days before awarding contracts. The Work will be substantially completed on or before September 30, 2023 Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request to the Engineer. No inquiry received within five (5) days of the date fixed for opening of Bids will be given consideration 03-15-23 Deadline for Questions 3:00 P.M. - Written questions shall be submitted to Amereco by email, fax or US Mail.
