Plan Review and Inspection Services for Electric, Plumbing, and Fire Sub-codes, and Plan Review and Inspection Services for Building Inspections for Projects in the Township of Long Beach (Lead Agency), the Borough of Ship Bottom, and the Borough of Barnegat Light" the Township of Long Beach in the County of Ocean is Seeking Sealed Bids From Qualified (Per the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code) Agencies to Provide Certified, Licensed Individual(S) for Plan Review and for Onsite Inspection Services for a Contract Period of 1 Year With 2 1-year Options, by Mutual Agreement of the Parties, Under the Direction of the Director of the Construction/zoning Dept. ("Director") or in His Absence the Commissioner of Public Affairs and Safety ("Commissioner") for the Following Inspection Services: Electrical Plumbing Fire General Construction for Projects Being Undertaken by an Elected Official or Employee of Long Beach Township, Borough of Barnegat Light, and/or Borough of Ship Bottom the Contract Shall Require Full-time Staffing of All Sub-code Official Positions (Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire). All Sub-Code Officials are required to possess an HHS license in their respective sub-code. In addition, all Sub-Codes Officials are subject to the continued approval and supervision of the DIRECTOR or COMMISSIONER who shall have the authority to determine that the Sub-Code Officials are able to effectively enforce the respective sub-codes for which the bid was submitted. The contract shall also require staffing as needed to perform plan review and building inspections by building inspectors for projects that are being undertaken by an elected official or employee of the municipalities. Therefore, all interested respondents should check the website from now through the bid opening. It is the sole responsibility of the respondent to be knowledgeable of all addenda related to this procurement. Bids may be submitted by mail or in person at any time prior to the time for receiving and opening the same at the Township Clerk's Office. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31, et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. A Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Township of Long Beach in an amount equal to $2,500.00 must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The Township of Long Beach hereby reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof. Any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsible bidder based on the lowest total bid amount and to make such awards or take such action as may be in the best interest of the Township.
