Renovate Boiler Plant - SCI Waymart - Plumbing Construction

The Goals for each Prime Contract is as follows: General Construction – ALL BASE BIDS (#1, #2 & #3) SDB-7%. VBE-3 Construct a new boiler building and install two (2) new 500 HP natural gas fired firetube steam boilers, deaerator, surge tank, chemical feed system, water softener, piping, and associated equipment. Relocate one existing 800 HP natural gas fired firetube steam boiler from existing boiler house to the new building. The Project includes replacing steam and condensate piping, serving K-Block, from the utility tunnel to K-Block. It also includes replacing Building 20 steam and condensate piping from the existing boiler building basement to and including the piping in the existing vault located in the parking lot. Base Bid 2 includes the above plus the replacement of Building 20 steam and condensate piping from the existing vault in the parking lot to Building 20. Base Bid 3 includes the above plus the demolition and removal of a 210-foot tall stack and outdoor breeching from the existing boiler house including sealing the building breeching opening. Base Bid 3 also includes the removal of materials previously encapsulated at the bottom 8 feet of the stack. Demolition and removal of the stack cannot begin until the new boilers and relocated boiler are commissioned and turned over to the Institution.
