Mass Notification System

The Kenai Peninsula Borough hereby invites qualified firms to submit proposals for acceptance by the Borough to update 14 siren sites, including the hardware and software components, while maintaining the functionality and redundancy of the current system during the replacement process. Additional siren sites or indoor alerting capabilities may be added; therefore, proposals should include: 1) the cost to replace the 14 siren sites; 2) the cost to add a single new siren site; and 3) the cost to add audio and visual alerting capabilities inside and outside of buildings. . This project shall be funded in part through the Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management "State Homeland Security Program," a federal pass-thru grant, the full and complete terms and provisions of which shall be incorporated by this reference in the RFP and in the covered transaction. Federal funds for this project are identified by the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) #97.067 U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency.
