Description

Complete replacement and upgrade to the network core, aggregation, andedge switches, wireless controller, and access points district-wide. Lakeview High School, Jefferson Middle School, Ardmore Elementary, Greenwood Elementary, Harmon Elementary, Princeton Elementary, Wheat Educational Campus. Utilizing existing cabinet enclosures. Grounding and bonding of rack mounted equipment. New patch panels for all new cabling in each MDF or IDF. All buildings have private single-mode fiber network connectivity to Lakeview High School. Cisco basis of design. Cisco switches are preferred as this is the District standard. Cisco and Aruba are approved wireless. Alternate manufactures must be preapproved during the questions and answer timelines. NIS vendor shall install all patch cables in the MDF and IDFs. NIS vendor shall meet with District and Technology Design to coordinate planning, review IP scheme, provide work sequence, programming of switches including WAN connectivity, WLAN connectivity, port tagging, VLANs, and other necessary configurations Removal of the existing network equipment to be removed and properly recycled or disposed of properly. A certificate of proper dispose is required by the District. Pre-and post-installation RF site surveys of all non-classroom areas only. WAP 802.11ac and 802.11ax in buildings. Wireless 802.11ac bridge from Lakeview High School to the Athletic Stadium. Wireless 802.11ac cover ge on field, stands and surrounding areas. Uninterruptible Power Supplies in all MDF and IDF closets. APC basis of design. Base Bid #1 includes all wired network chassis, aggregate switch, edge switches and UPS units. Base Bid #2 includes all wireless LAN and bridge components. Mandatory Alternate #1 – Deduct post site survey and add a real-time network performance evaluation tool to reduce or eliminate the need for future physical RF site surveys. Mandatory Alternate #2 – Provide and install a physical wireless controller in lieu of the virtual wireless controller, as specified in the RFB.
