For Ready Mix Concrete and Cement Products The City of Columbia, Public Works Department is seeking a contractor to supply and deliver ready mix concrete and cement products. Contractor shall furnish all required materials, supplies, equipment and tools to perform all necessary labor and supervision to haul, deliver and unload material from trucks that meet or exceed the RFQ, specifications and contract requirements. Calcium Chloride 1% and 2 %, (lines 11 and 12) material(s) may be added to load, at City discretion. City reserves the right to purchase flowable fill (lines 14 and 15) to test performance characteristic of any or all of listed product. Effective Date of Contract through One (1) Year The original contract period shall be as stated in the agreement/contract or notice of award. The contract shall not bind, nor purport to bind, the city for any contractual commitment in excess of the original contract period. The Purchasing Division shall have the right, at its sole option, to renew the contract for four (4) additional one-year periods, or any portion thereof. In the event the Purchasing Division exercises such right, all terms and conditions, requirements and specifications of the contract shall remain the same and apply during the renewal period, pursuant to applicable option clauses of the agreement/contract. Only those questions, which necessitate a change to the RFQ, will be addressed via an addendum to the RFQ. Bidders are advised that any questions received less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the RFQ opening date may not be addressed.
