Description

Clinton Public Schools is seeking proposals for the Joel School Front Parking Lot, Driveway and Side Playground to include asphalt patching, crack filling, sealcoating and line striping Clinton Public Schools reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or parts of a proposal; to waive any technicality in a proposal; and to accept the proposal deemed to be in the best interest of Clinton Public Schools, whether or not it is the lowest dollar amount. All questions should be directed to Carolyn Dickey, Business Manager at cdickey@clintonpublic.net. Should a prospective Proposer desire clarification or interpretation of any item in the Proposal Specifications, such request must be made in writing via email to the Business Manager at cdickey@clintonpublic.net not later than the end of the day on Friday, April 14, 2023, who will supply a response in writing via email to all known Proposers SCOPE OF WORK The Joel School Front Parking Lot, Driveway and Side Playground areas to include furnishing labor and material for asphalt patching, crack filling, sealcoating and line striping as follows: Asphalt Patching: Areas designated by Facilities Director will be saw cut or milled to depth. Debris removed and disposed. New Class II hot mix asphalt will be put down, flush with existing grades and then compacted with vibratory rollers. Crack Filling: Existing cracks will be cleaned using blowers and wire brooms to remove loose debris. Cracks will be injected with commercial grade rubberized crack sealant, heated and applied at 375 degrees then dusted with a mineral aggregate to promote proper adhesion and prevent tracking. All materials used will meet Federal Specifications SS-S-164 requirements. Sealcoating: Asphalt surfaces will be sealed by pressurized spray using premium commercial grade asphalt pavement sealer mixed with sand. Sealer is applied at ta rate of .22 gallons per square year based on manufacturer recommendations. Freshly sealed areas will be barricaded for safety. All materials used will meet or exceed Federal Specifications R-P-355e for mineral fortification and coating thickness. Line Striping: Existing pavement markings and lines will be re-painted with Premium Hydrophast Federal Specifications TT-P 1952E Type I and II pavement traffic marking paint.
