Description | PROJECT: South WWTP Rehab MCE Project No.: 20-8108 McClelland Consulting Engineers, Inc. 2120 Waldron Rd., Building, A, Suite 5 Fort Smith, Arkansas 72903 Phone: (479) 434-5333 The City of Atkins will receive sealed bids for the construction of the South WWTP Rehab project. The project consists of the removal and replacement of an existing clarifier mechanism, painting of the mechanism, miscellaneous steel and catwalks, general rehab to the clarifier concrete structure and items of work to allow the bypassing of the clarifier during rehab. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. The City of Atkins reserves the right to reject any and all bids received. Addendums to the bid package will be issued through the online MCE Plan Holders List; therefore, all prime bidders shall be responsible for downloading the bid documents from the MCE online plan room in order to be included in the Plan Holders List and submit a bid. Bidders must enter the addenda numbers in the Proposal to verify receipt. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to the City of Atkins in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid. The attention of the Bidder is directed to the applicable federal and state requirements and conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this Contract. Pursuant to Arkansas Code Annotated 22-9-203 the City of Atkins encourages all qualified small, minority and women business enterprises to bid on and receive contracts for goods, services, and construction. Also, the City of Atkins encourages all general contractors to subcontract portions of their contract to qualified small, minority, and women business enterprises. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities. As set forth in ACA 14-58-303, the Mayor or the Mayors authorized representative shall have exclusive power to award the bid to the lowest responsible bidder, but may reject any and all bids. The Owner may postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time which shall not exceed beyond 60 calendar days from the bid opening date. |
