Norma and Johnny Streets Improvement Project

**As of July 29, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on August 9, 2022. This federally funded project consists of the improvement of Norma Street from Dodson Street to Johnny Street and Johnny Street from Papago Street to Norma Street, for a total length of approximately 2000 feet. The major items of work include the following construction items 1. Asphalt Street Paving - 3" asphalt concrete on 8" aggregate base 2. Concrete Sidewalk (5' Wide) 3. Concrete Sidewalk Curb Ramps 4. Concrete Valley Gutter and Aprons 5. Asphalt Pavement Removal 6. Subgrade Preparation 7. Adjust Existing Manholes and Valves 8. Miscellaneous Grading & Drainage Work And any and all other associated contingent and miscellaneous items of work to complete the proposed improvements to provide two new paved street segments in the Town of Gila Bend. The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, services, transportation, and perform all the work for the project known as the Norma and Johnny Street Improvements Project for the Town of Gila Bend, Arizona, as called for in the Technical Specifications and on the Plans (Drawings). The proposer should prepare and provide a detailed time schedule for completion. To be considered, one (1) original and two (2) copies of the bid proposal must be provided and completed in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders included in this bid package. Bids received after the specified time of closing will be returned unopened. The Town of Gila Bend also reserves the right to hold any or all bids for a period of ninety (90) days after the date of opening. Bidders will not be allowed to withdraw submitted bids during the ninety (90) day period Said bid security shall be considered liquidated damages and shall be forfeited to the Town of Gila Bend in the event the proposal is accepted and the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within ten (10) working days after the notice of bid award. The Town of Gila Bend reserves the right to accept the lowest, responsible bid; to consider alternatives; to reject any or all bids; and to waive irregularities of information in any bid.
