Description

Contract Line Items 1 – 5 Treat garlic mustard in all contract line items (CLINs) with foliar herbicide applications. Treat these invasive plants using careful spot spraying techniques to avoid damage to desirable native species. Small equipment capable of spot spraying (eg. backpack sprayer, UTV with hose reel) will be needed to ensure minimal damage to rare native species. ATV/UTVs may be used but must stay on the designated paved trail at all times. This project requires the use of an aquatic approved herbicide within 100 feet of Lick Creek and all its tributaries. Contract Line Items 6 - 10 Treat woody invasive species, such as but not limited to: wintercreeper, oriental bittersweet, Japanese honeysuckles (vines and shrubs), privet, multiflora rose, jetbead, and other non-native/invasive woody plants found in the project area. If an invasive plant is over 5 feet tall, it must be cut and the stump treated with herbicide. Plants under 5 feet can be foliar sprayed or cut stump at the discretion of the contractor.
