Spotsylvania Middle School Addition and Renovation Project - Rebid

As of  April 13, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline or award has not yet been established. SBCS is requesting Bids from Offerors to provide the most practical, time effective and costefficient solution to renovate Spotsylvania Middle School. The description of services shall establish minimum requirements and expectations. Spotsylvania County Public Schools intends to award to one Contractor but expressly reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in the bids received, and to award a bid to be in the best interests of Spotsylvania County Public Schools. Bids shall be based on the drawings and specifications provided by Quinn Evans. SBCS will accept proposals from all Contractors qualified under the terms of the enclosed documents and those Contractors who attend the mandatory pre-bid conference. Receive Written Inquiries (no later than) March 9, 2023 (12:00 PM) Answer Written Inquiries March 16, 2023 (on or before) Contract Term will be from the date of Notice to Proceed through September 8, 2025 No bid can be withdrawn after the time set for the receipt of bids and for ninety days thereafter except as provided under Chapter 7, Section 2.2-4330, of the Code of Virginia, as follows: The bidder shall give notice in writing of his claim or right to withdraw his bid within two business days after the conclusion of the bid opening procedure and shall submit original work papers with such notice. The notice and the original working papers shall be given to the Owner, to the attention of Jamie C. Either a cashiers or certified check must accompany bids or an acceptable bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, made payable to School Board of the County of Spotsylvania. Contract Award will be based on the Total Bid Amount on the bid form plus any Additive Bid Items the Owner, in its discretion, decides to award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder whose Bid provides the lowest total project cost to the Owner.
