Lane City Dam Rehabilitation and Recovery Project

The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) is soliciting proposals from qualified, eligible vendors to perform all operations required for the construction and improvements of the existing Lane City Dam located on the Colorado River in Wharton County, Texas. Question Deadline Wednesday, May 10, 2023 05:00 PM CT PROJECT CONSTRAINTS o Access roads to the project site, both east and west banks, will be impacted during wet weather. o Access through property located on the west bank is not owned by LCRA, and subject to restrictions noted in the plans and specifications. o River is subject to flooding and variable water surface elevations. Cofferdams or low river flows will be needed to access the gate vault and replace the gate cylinder. o In both the river and the banks, buried rock rip and other obstructions may reside in alignment of proposed sheet pile walls. o Portions of the East Bank & West Bank Stabilization are eligible for FEMA funds and may require administrative controls based on FEMA requirements that are currently under development. 3.5 OTHER REQUIREMENTS o Existing sheet pile located at the Arbuckle laydown yard is intended for use on this project. o Existing rock rip rap currently located on the east bank is intended to be salvaged and reused for this project. o Bascule gate must remain in the upright position after February 1, 2024 (exceptions to this may be accepted following a review by LCRA). o Throughout the project the Contractor is required to deliver a weekly report to the LCRA Lead Engineer and Agent that includes but is not limited to: a.
