Description

This project involves the site development of a new parking lot (100,000 SF) that will serve the future Justice Center. Bids for demolition have already been taken. Technical specifications and site lighting drawings are forthcoming. Construction is projected begin this September and end this November/December. The project is tax exempt with no special bidding requirements. This is a Build Operate Transfer project (BOT). This project is a being developed by a private party and is not subject to public bidding requirements. Bid packages requested include: Surveying, Material Testing, Joint Sealants, Electrical, Earthwork & Utilities (includes a stormwater detention system), Asphalt Paving, Concrete Paving, Unit Paving, Pavement Markings, Landscaping. Construction Schedule - Will begin Fall 2022 Earthwork Note - Demo contractor will remove all structures, sidewalks, asphalt, curbs, existing utilities, trees. Basement voids will be left empty for earthwork contractor to fill/compact. Taxes - This project is tax exempt. ****REVISION TO EARTHWORK START*** Please see below schedule for the Morgan County Justice Center Parking Lot. I am in need of earthwork and electrical contractors to perform this project. Start Overall - 09/15/22 - 05/29/22 Earthwork - 09/15/22 Need to start and get utilities ordered ASAP Concrete - Fall 22 Asphalt / Binder - Fall 22 Asphalt / Top Coat - Spring 23 Landscaping - Spring 23 Electrical - Fall 22 *GOAL - Get asphalt binder in this fall, may have to leave portion out for underground retention. Put temporary striping on binder for Martinsville employees to use parking lot. Come back and finish top coat and leave-out area in Spring 2023. *Earthwork - Assume addresses 159 W Jackson St. and 190 W. Columbus St. have basements the same dimension of the houses, 8’ deep. Fill and compact basements per the specs. *Addendum 1 has been released.
