Approximately 10.8-Miles of Micro Surfacing Construction

The project consists of Micro Surfacing on various county roads. Due to the constant use of these roadways, it shall be the responsibility and obligation of the contractor to coordinate construction activities and provide any additional devices or methods necessary to ensure that the project roadway will be open to all traffic at all times and all traffic may travel the project limits safely with a minimum amount of delay. NATURE OF WORK: Principal items of work include: Project No. 38-23-02: Approximately 10.8 Miles of Micro Surfacing Construction. Preparation for construction will be by County forces at no cost to contractor The award, if made, will be made to the lowest qualified bidder on the basis of unit prices and quantities in the contract documents. Actual work quantities performed shall be based on availability of local funds. The work to be done is generally as shown on the plans. The Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement all minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award For questions relating to the electronic bidding process, please call at 225-810-4814. Certified check or bid bond for five (5%) percent of the total bid PER CONTRACT, made payable to Lauderdale County, Mississippi, must accompany each proposal as required by State Law. Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and such proposal will not be considered in making the award. The Board of Supervisors reserved the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids to waive informalities.
