Partition Wall System

Provide material, labor, lift equipment, proper insurance, job supervision, and clean-up to remove and dispose of current wall system consisting of approximately 178’ x 16’ high folding partitions and their drywall bulkheads in the Multi-Purpose Room of Building J on the West Campus. After removal and demolition of panels, the University shall have supplier install a Moduflex Model 420 Paired Panel Operable Wall System to include a 58’ long center wall and two 30’ walls on each of the north and south sides of the center wall (approximately 178’). The new partitions will have heavy duty steel gusseted aluminum inner frames reinforced with full height formed steel astragals, standard pin-tackable gypsum board substrate machine bonded to frames and sheer trim-less wrap around panel edges, type 7/8” heavy duty aluminum track, a horizontal splice line at 12’ high that will be covered with a batten strip, top sweep seals, 1 ½” operable bottom manuseals and standard vinyl-tex wall covering. They will be 3 ¼” thick, operable from wall to wall and have a STC rating of 47. On each side of the 178’ of drop down bulkheads the drywall will be removed as needed to allow for installation of the new track. After track installation the drywall will be replaced and the full height of the bulkheads on each side will be painted.
