Description | The work to be done consists, in general, of placing a methacrylate treatment on the bridge decks of eleven (11) Fresno County bridges as part of the Bridge Preventive Maintenance Program. Four (4) bridge decks will also require the placement of a polyester concrete overlay. The existing bridge deck surfaces at these locations are typically concrete, with traffic striping at some locations. The work entails sand blasting the deck surfaces, vacuuming the residue, and placing methacrylate treatment and new striping on the bridge decks only. Where necessary, some bridges will also require the removal of asphalt concrete overlay on the bridge deck, the removal and patching of unsound concrete, and/or the placement of a polyester concrete overlay. Existing deck drainage outlets are to be plugged and forms are to be placed along the edge of the deck to ensure construction materials do not enter the channels or run off the bridge decks. If you have any questions about bid submission, please contact us at DesignServices@fresnocountyca.gov or calling (559) 600-4241. The engineers estimate range is $340,000 to $ $376,000.
