Description

Regional Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to perform construction services for asbestos and lead abatement/remediation and mold removal/remediation at Naval Facilities within Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Yorktown, and Williamsburg, Virginia. The work will predominantly occur at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story (JEBLCFS), Naval Station Norfolk, Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads Lafayette River Annex (NSAHR-LRA), Chambers Field, Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads (NSA HR), Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads North West Annex (NSA HR-NWA), Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads Portsmouth Annex (NSA HR-PA), Naval Air Station Oceana, Fleet Training Center Dam Neck, Fentress Field, Naval Station Yorktown, Cheatham Annex, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, St. Juliens Annex, and Craney Island. - Construction services for abatement and remediation with repair or replacement of any equipment, structure, and surfaces that have been disturbed, damaged or removed during the remediation and abatement of the contaminated materials. - Construction services for the abatement/remediation of surfaces that need to be sampled or have been previously sampled and the type of contamination of the material or surface has been identified. - Construction services that entail the removal of various types of materials containing asbestos and the subsequent replacement of the same type of material with materials that do not contain asbestos. - Construction services for the removal of lead contaminated and lead containing materials. The predominant work is anticipated to be removal of lead based paint from the exterior and interior of structures and their components, surface preparation, implementation of interim control measures and/or additional abatement procedures. - Construction services for remediation of mold contamination from a variety of surfaces and materials. This work may include removal of mold contaminated wood, gypsum wall board, stucco/plaster, flooring, carpet, acoustical ceiling tile, and tiled floors and/or walls. - Incidental minor construction services to repair or replace any equipment, structure, and surfaces that have been, disturbed, damaged or removed during the remediation and abatement of the contaminated materials. - The contractor is responsible for the proper disposal of waste, hazardous and non-hazardous, generated during the work required under this contract. - The contractor is responsible for the proper disposal of waste, hazardous and non-hazardous, generated during the work required under this contract.
