JJ's Construction was awarded this project. The work shall include, but not be limited to, signage, lighting, fence adjustments, and= small miscellaneous items. A bid bond from a reputable surety licensed to operate in the State of Texas or certified cashier check, payable without recourse to the Municipality, for an amount of not less than five (5) percent (%) of the total bid shall accompany the bid as a guaranty that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will enter into a contract with the Municipality. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Municipality or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. This project is being funded by the Municipality and is subject to the following Requirements: Title IV of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; the Architectural Barriers Act of 1968, Texas Architectural Barriers Act, and other State laws and regulations. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by Municipality for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid receipt for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award.
