Description | Deadline for PROPOSER Questions March 31, 2023 Purpose Nottoway County, the municipal government of Nottoway County, Town of Blackstone, Town of Burkeville, and the Town of Crewe, Virginia invites written proposals from qualified offerors to provide a P25 Phase 2 700/800 MHz Simulcast Radio System to serve the County of Nottoway. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to provide PROPOSERS with a common, uniform set of instructions to guide them through the development of their proposals. In addition, this RFP will function as a standard from which to evaluate the PROPOSER'S products and services as they compare to other offerors and as they pertain to the needs of Nottoway County as defined in this document. - Nottoway County seeks to replace their legacy VHF Analog Conventional radio systems. The County requires a single contractor to provide a P25 trunked radio system: infrastructure, dispatch consoles, connectivity network, and subscriber radios necessary to support the new radio system that will provide service throughout the whole of the County. - Nottoway County is part of the Southside Virginia Region, which boasts an agricultural industry covering 316 square miles including the Towns of Blackstone, Burkeville, and Crewe. The population of Nottoway County is an estimated 15,650. The existing Nottoway County radio system serve a combined 327 public safety and public service personnel. The current radio systems are nearing end-of-life and no longer provide sufficient coverage or capacity to meet Nottoway County's needs. - The new Nottoway County communications system will be a 700/800 MHz P25 Phase 2 (TDMA) Simulcast Trunked Radio System for all public safety and public service radio users within Nottoway County. The successful ROPOSER shall design and install fixed infrastructure equipment that must be maintainable for at least 14 years after Final System Acceptance. - Nottoway County radio design includes Four (4) new dispatch console positions to operate in P25 mode. - For the County radio system, there should be a public safety grade microwave network configured in a ring topology or with MHSB equipment for MW spur links. - The County desires to have the successful PROPOSER offer maintenance for fourteen (14) years. |
